It’s called GEOfundos and it aims to respond to the need to inform the interested parties in Social Economy about all the opportunities of funding which are available and fit each of their profiles.
This platform is the result of a joint initiative by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the EDP Foundation, and it offers a personalised service which presents opportunities for funding, both national and international, divided according to the needs of social entities and entrepreneurs.
This innovative project, which aims to be an ally for Social Economy in Portugal, has been joined by several Foundations and Entities, forming a strategic alliance made up of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, EDP Foundation, Associação Mutualista – Montepio Geral, PT Foundation, CASES, Call to Action, IES-SBS, Stone Soup and TESE – all entities which, through their experience in this sector, possess the joint knowledge and skills to develop this type of project and to respond to the existing needs.
As well as personalised funding opportunities, GEOfundos also offers training tools: a Learning Space and a Specialist Centre. The latter will provide information which will allow users to reinforce their skills and abilities in order to obtain funding successfully and efficiently. The Specialist Centre will be a central space for all qualification service providers, consultants and trainers who will be able to offer specific support in organisational empowerment and in preparing funding applications.
