Fernando Pessoa’s work arrives in Madrid by the hand of Fundación EDP. The exhibition "PESSOA. All Art is a Form of Literature” will be open to the public from 6 February to 7 May. This sponsorship is one of the cultural initiatives which Fundácion EDP cooperates with.
"PESSOA. All Art is a Form of Literature” takes its title from a quote by Álvaro de Campos – one of Fernando Pessoa’s heteronyms (Lisbon, 1888-1935) – published in Portuguese magazine Presença.
The exhibition focusses particularly on the magazines published during this period, such as A Águia, Orpheu, K4 O Quadrado Azul or Portugal Futurista, where some of Pessoa’s texts were published and which acted as a framework for avant-garde ideals, having had a strong aesthetical and ideological influence on the Portuguese intellectuals of the first half of the 20th century.
