The EDP Foundation, Correio da Manhã and CMTV joined forces to offer a Christmas present to each of the 4,400 children and young people, aged 0 to 21, who are in a vulnerable situation, in Social Security foster homes.
To help carry out this mission, which has the support of the Social Security Institute, dozens of employees from EDP, Cofina and the Social Security department are taking part, between 07 and 11 December, at Central Tejo, in a voluntary action that will enable all gifts to be delivered to the 292 foster care institutions managed by Social Security, in the 18 districts of mainland Portugal, by Christmas Eve.
This initiative, which also has the Associação Terra dos Sonhos as a social partner, will be celebrated with a Solidarity Concert on the afternoon of 11 December, at Central Tejo, with a performance by the Youth Symphony Orchestra.
