Conversations with Energy

'Conversas com Energia' (Conversations with Energy) is a programme aimed at promoting knowledge and dialogue around the challenges of the climate emergency, energy, and sustainability. This initiative aspires to be comprehensive and includes both private and public schools, and schools forming part of the TEIP initiative (Priority Intervention Educational Territories), with students ranging from 5th grade up all the way up to university level.

Each session is a unique experience that promotes debate between a group of young people and a different speaker about the past, present and future of our planet.

The first cycle of "Conversas com Energia" took  place in 2022 at the maat as part of the exhibition Visual Nature - The Politics and Culture of Environmentalism in the 20th and 21st Centuries and included as speakers Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon; Vera Pinto Pereira, President of the EDP Foundation; Júlia Seixas, Pro-Rector of the University of Lisbon; and Joana Vasconcelos, Artist.
