In September 2025, the EDP Foundation is launching a new edition of the Solidarity in Mobility programme, which supports social organisations in the transition to electric vehicles. The initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, to promote greater economic efficiency within organisations and to strengthen mobility for social missions, contributing to a fairer and more inclusive energy transition.
The 2025 edition will be implemented in Portugal and Spain, with pan-Iberian coordination, and is aimed at private, not-for-profit organisations. The first phase of applications will be open from 8 to 21 September 2025, and the winning projects will be announced in November. Click here to consult the rules.
The programme seeks to reinforce the EDP Foundation's commitment to leaving no one behind in meeting the challenges of climate change. By supporting the purchase of electric vehicles, it hopes to reduce institutions’ carbon footprint, encourage energy saving and improve the quality of service provided in the communities in which they are active.
Since its creation, Solidarity in Mobility has supported the purchase of 19 electric vans in 9 municipalities.
