Mariana Caló and Francisco Queimadela

Studied Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto and have worked together since 2010. They both received grants from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 2012 for international artist residencies at the Gasworks, London. They were given the BES Revelation Award in 2012 and won the International Prize Lo Schermo dell’arte Film Festival in 2013. They have shown their work in numerous exhibitions, including Entrevista Perpétua [Unending Interview], Edíficio Axa, Porto and Villa Romana, Florence, in 2013; Chart for the Coming Times, Rowing Projects, London, in 2012; Gradations of Time over a Plane, at Gasworks, London, 2012 and General Public, Berlin, 2011, and The Springs of the Flood, Altes Finanzamt, Berlin, in 2011.

They live and work in Porto.
